District 18 Metro Councilmember

Hello! I’m Tom Cash. I am honored to represent District 18 for the 2019-2023 Metro Council term. I ran for Council to improve the quality of life of all Nashvillians and to represent District 18 with compassion and good judgement. Let’s build a city and a neighborhood that better serves our citizens and communities!

Please follow my FB page, the Hillsboro West End Neighborhood page, and the Belmont-Hillsboro website for updates.

About Tom:

I’m a lifelong Nashvillian and grew up in the neighborhoods of District 18- shopping in Hillsboro Village, getting my first job at Compton’s Foodland, and attending Eakin, West End and Hillsboro.

After college, I returned and have raised my family here. I’ve been an English and Government teacher at Hillsboro and Hume-Fogg, been a school leader and mentored students for future leadership through extra curricular programs.

I’ve given back to the neighborhood I love in many ways including serving on the board of HWEN and as its President from 2010-2014 and 2017- 2019.

I am married to Melissa, a preschool teacher at Belmont UMC Day School, and have two children, Hayden, a junior at UT Knoxville, and Ella, a sophomore at MLK.
